Our History
Establishment of Health Federation
The Health Federation was founded by bringing together Turkey's leading professionals in the health field. The Federation has shaped its activities in accordance with WHO's health definition and fundamental principles adopted in 1948.
International Recognition
Over the years, the Federation has gained international recognition and expanded its collaboration network with esteemed organizations worldwide. Today, we interact with stakeholders from all 194 WHO member states.
Our Strategic Working Areas
Preventive Healthcare and Disease Prevention
A primary focus of the Health Federation is the promotion of preventive healthcare measures. In line with WHO's "Health for All" vision, we collaborate with medical experts, research centers, and public institutions to reduce the burden of disease through education, early detection, and effective community health programs. NCDs (Non-Communicable Diseases) are among our priority areas.
Regulation and Standardization
The Health Federation engages in shaping regulations and policy frameworks that govern hospitals, medical devices, and pharmaceutical products. Guided by WHO's International Health Regulations (IHR 2005) and drug safety standards, we contribute to establishing high quality and safety standards across healthcare services.
Research and Development
Through active research and development programs, the Federation encourages innovation in medical devices, drug manufacturing, and cutting-edge healthcare solutions. In line with WHO's research priorities and "Vaccines for All" initiative, we organize workshops, conferences, and joint initiatives to advance scientific knowledge.
National and International Collaboration
In accordance with WHO's principle of coordination among 194 member states, the Health Federation regularly organizes delegations, conferences, and networking events at both national and international levels. These platforms facilitate the exchange of expertise and help establish global partnerships.
