A Lifetime Honor for Exceptional Contributions
This document outlines the terms and conditions governing membership in the Turkish Health Federation (THF), a prestigious honor conferred upon individuals who have made exceptional and lasting contributions to Türkiye's medical, healthcare, biotechnology, and medical technology sectors.
1. Nature of Membership
Membership in the Turkish Health Federation is:
- An honorary recognition, not an application-based membership
- Bestowed upon those whose work has had a profound impact on shaping and advancing the landscape of health and medicine in Türkiye and internationally
- Granted through a rigorous selection process based on professional excellence, groundbreaking contributions, and lasting impact
- Limited to a select number of professionals each year, ensuring that membership remains an exclusive distinction
2. Eligibility Criteria
Membership is reserved for individuals who meet the following criteria:
2.1 Lifetime Contributions
- Minimum 10 years of active involvement in relevant fields, documented by project reports, employment records, or academic positions
- Evidence of leadership in at least two major initiatives resulting in quantifiable improvements in Türkiye's healthcare sector
2.2 National Impact and Recognition
- A measurable influence on healthcare practices, policies, or clinical outcomes in Türkiye
- Recognition by Turkish or international public authorities or reputable institutions, supported by two formal letters of endorsement
2.3 Scientific and Medical Innovation
- At least five peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals, with accompanying impact factor and citation data
- Documentation of research funding, granted patents (with patent numbers), or regulatory approvals for new medical devices or pharmaceuticals, including quantitative measures
2.4 Commitment to Excellence
- Strict adherence to professional ethical standards demonstrated by relevant certifications and membership in ethical review boards
- Records of continuous professional development over the past 7 years, such as certificates from accredited courses, conference attendance logs, or awards from recognized bodies
3. Fields of Membership
Members of the Turkish Health Federation have come from a wide range of disciplines, including but not limited to:
- Medical and Clinical Sciences (including specialties such as surgery, internal medicine, and pediatrics)
- Public Health and Epidemiology
- Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Research
- Medical Technology and Innovation (including medical devices, digital health, and AI in healthcare)
- Biotechnology and Life Sciences (including genetic research, regenerative medicine, and bioengineering)
- Healthcare Policy and Administration
- Behavioral and Social Sciences in Medicine
4. Selection & Induction Process
The nomination, assessment, and induction procedures are conducted by esteemed experts known for their integrity and judgment. These processes follow strict, transparent criteria applied consistently to uphold the highest standards of objectivity, fairness, and selectivity.
- Nomination: Candidates must be nominated by an existing THF member or a recognized national authority.
- Evaluation: A selection committee reviews each nominee's lifetime achievements, assessing their contributions to medical sciences, technology, or public health.
- Final Approval: The governing body votes on inductees, ensuring that only the most distinguished professionals receive this honor.
- Induction Ceremony: New members are formally recognized in an annual ceremony, where they receive a lifetime honor from THF.

5. Member Rights and Responsibilities
5.1 Rights
- Recognition as a lifelong member of Türkiye's most elite medical and scientific community
- Opportunity to contribute insights to national healthcare policies and initiatives
- Participation in high-level forums and discussions with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector
- Access to exclusive networking opportunities with fellow distinguished professionals
- Use of the designation "Member of the Turkish Health Federation" in professional contexts
5.2 Responsibilities
- Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics and integrity
- Represent the Federation with dignity and professionalism
- Contribute to the advancement of healthcare and medical sciences in Türkiye
- Participate in Federation activities when possible
- Mentor and support the next generation of healthcare professionals
6. Revocation of Membership
The Federation reserves the right to revoke membership in cases of:
- Serious ethical violations or professional misconduct
- Criminal convictions related to professional practice
- Actions that significantly damage the reputation of the Federation
- Misrepresentation of membership status or credentials
Revocation decisions are made by the governing body following a thorough investigation and review process.
7. Amendments to Terms
The Turkish Health Federation reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Members will be notified of any significant changes to the membership terms.
